The Purple Needle

I finally have a blog! This is my place to discuss my job search, my stitching, my addiction to the internet and whatever else crosses my mind! So stay, read, stitch and chat with me :)

A new victim...

Ha! Anna got an email from another friend asking about getting to the casino. Good! Now Anna can go with her. She was quite excited about it. Although this is a bit worrisome because I know that Anna's finances are fine. The other girl's are not so much.

I finally got a tracking number for my bed! It's been shipped! Yay! Hopefully it'll be here in a few days.

In the meantime, I've been working on my room. I got rid of one piece of furniture and moved a bookcase to the hall. That created some space which I intended to use for a shelf and my chessboard table. So I brought the table up from the garage where it had been living (caught my uncle using my $300 table as a sawhorse!) only to discover it won't fit through my bedroom door. The door itself is in the way. So I guess it will live in the living room because eventually I'd have to get it back out of this room. And I am NOT about to let my brother or my uncle take the legs off! I guess we could take the door off, but again it would eventually have to come out and we'd have to do it again then.

So now a large percentage of my things are in boxes waiting for me to get my furniture figured out so I can put things away. I guess first up will be the books. Packing up the books seemed like an awful lot of work for a 1 minute move across the room and out the door! But there was no way I could have moved it otherwise. So I'm gonna have to put them all back now and figure out what to do with the rest of my stuff. Do you ever wish you could just completely empty the room and start over? I do. Anything without a home in the end would be gone. Maybe I'll make that rule anyway. I just have an insane amount of stuff trying to squeeze into this little room. Last May I even packed up a good portion of my stash and put it in the garage, and I still have a ton of stash in here! I wonder if it breeds....it couldn't be because I keep buying more, could it? Nah. Couldn't be.

Laurel, I am a certified packrat too! Eventually, you just have to get ruthless and get it gone otherwise you'll be drowning in 'stuff'! Be kind to yourself and give yourself the gift of a clean and spacious room just oozing peacefulness and calm.
Encouraging Hugs,
Sandy
