I'm having a lousy night. My electricity was cut off. I swear I paid the bill online a few weeks go, but stupid SCE has no record of the payment! Arg! So now I gotta sit in the dark when I get home because they won't come out and turn it back on until tomorrow! Grrrrr!!!!
Anyway, as long as I've got this burst of anger, let's start a fight, lol. (I hope not really!) Let's talk about Iraq, seeing as the 3rd anniversary just passed. I'm tired of hearing about bombs and insurgencies and "Bush lied, kids died". I'm tired of hearing how Bush is evil, he lied, he misled, he hyped, he betrayed (I love that clip of Al Gore. "He betrayed this country! He played on our fears!" lol!!), he broke the law, yadda yadda. I'm tired of Cindy Sheehan. How is it we hear endlessly about wiretapping and torture and Koran flushing and any other soundbite that makes Bush look bad, but when there's news that vindicates him, somehow it gets overlooked, or it gets 2 lines on page 22.
Anyone see this story about Georges Sada, an Iraqi general who has written a book about Saddam's WMD? Has that appeared in the major media? Anyone see the new information linking Hussein to Al Qaeda? (I don't have time to find it tonight, I will tomorrow, when I have my own computer back!) Hmmm, funny how that didn't get major press time.
All that to say, 3 years after the war started, I still believe in this president, and I firmly believe that his convictions and his reasons for going to war in Iraq will be proved correct. And the world, the middle east and America will be better off because of it. It's already starting to happen. Just don't hold your breath for it to appear on the front page of the New York Times or Washington Post.
